On Friday night Altamont came out victorious on the first home game of the season blowing out rival Vandalia 82-45.
In the first quarter both teams actually shot the ball well but it was the Vandals five turnovers that made the difference. That combined with the dominate play of post man Eric Kollmann, who scored seven in the quarter and for Vandalia it was Reid Well who hit a pair of corner threes. But it was Altamont that jumped out to a 20-14 lead.
The second quarter was more of the same has the turnovers continue to mount for the Vandals and the hot shooting would continue for Altamont. Mason Robinson would score eight in the quarter to extend the Indians lead to eleven 41-30.
Any sense of a comeback for the Vandals after halftime went dashing into the non existent snow (It is the holidays after all :). A 27 point outburst helped by 4 three pointers by the Indians to extend their lead to 30 points 68-38 after three quarters.
Altamont would contributions from everybody that played and cruised to the win on homecoming capped off by a deep three from Bryce Suckow.
Altamont improves to 3-0 on the season and travels to Newton on Tuesday to take on the Eagles.
Vandalia drops to 1-3 on the season.

- Logan Cornett with a splash off the bench as well with 8
- Every Indian that played scored
- Mason Winn & Ciara Hankins were named homecoming king and queen
