Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The nationwide recall of lettuce amid concerns over cyclospora is impacting Illinois businesses. Niemerg’s Steakhouse and Brass Rail Lounge in Effingham says it was forced to discard 750 pounds of lettuce.
Taylor Farms de Mexico announced its voluntary recall of iceberg lettuce that is impacting businesses across 27 states, including Illinois. Niemerg’s ownership added that after learning they were part of the recall, the restaurant secured fresh produce from a supplier that was unaffected by the recall.
