
Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Effingham County Transportation & Infrastructure Committee met on Tuesday morning and heard updates from ECPT about E-Trax.
E-Trax is currently down due to lack of staffing, and are still looking for more people to hire as drivers. At this time, they are shooting for an early August re-open date for bus routes. It is notable that Effingham now has Lyft and Uber in the area, so people in need of a ride can utilize those services where possible until E-Trax is back up and running.

E-Trax is also getting cameras on the busses.
The Maintenance Facility work is still on hold, as officials are still waiting on IDOT, and committee members said the County parking lot is now complete. They also approves signage for a drop box and a camera to monitor it.
The First Responder Monument Repair is reported to be complete, with Pyramid Marble donating materials. The Jail Roof bid was awarded to Joiner Sheet Metal and Roofing at a total of $221.4k, and the Sheriff; Office recfommended Hour House be granted use of the parking lot to pass out flyers for interested persons looking for help.
Use of the downtown courtyard and pavilion was also granted for Labor Day Yoga.
