The City of Effingham continues to work with existing and new companies to provide assistance and support for any needs they may have. So far this year, business activity is taking place throughout the community with several more projects slated to start this year.
Some projects underway or soon to be starting construction would include the following:
MEIJER
- Meijer plans to build a 150,000 s.f. store located next to Kohl’s. Roadway improvements have been completed. No date has been set for breaking ground as of yet.
QUICK TRIP
- Quick Trip has announced plans to locate in Effingham near the I70/57 on ramp along N. Route 45. Construction is now underway.
FLEX-N-GATE
- Flex-n-Gate has purchased the former Pinnacle building at 2701 S. Banker Street. They have begun manufacturing and plant to hire around 300 employees during their first phase.
JOHN BOOS & CO.
- John Boos & Co. has multiple projects underway include an office and warehouse addition.
GINGER ALE’S
- Ginger Ale’s recently opened new building on the corner of Fayette Avenue and Walnut Street.
JERSEY MIKE’S
- Jersey Mike’s recently opened in the new strip center located along Fayette Avenue, next to Domino’s Pizza.
LOS AMIGOS
- Los Amigo’s recently opened in the former Pizza Hut building along Keller Drive.
HOMEWOOD GRILL
- Homewood Grill recently renovated and relocated into a building at 1002 W. Fayette Avenue.
THE LOCAL BAR AND GRILL
- The Local Bar and Grill will soon be opening in the former Innova location at 1313 N. Keller Dr.
VALVOLINE
- Valvoline has purchased the former Pro-Lube and is now open at 402 S. Henrietta St.
O’REILLY AUTO PARTS
- O’Reilly Auto Parts has temporarily changed locations to 1002 N. Keller Dr. while they prepare to construct a new facility.
