Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Economic Development Advisory Board met for their regular meeting on Tuesday and approved some funding requests, but it will be dependent on receiving the funding first.
Dave Campbell said at the meeting that they are expecting the full funding for the Intermediary Relending Program (IRP) to come in soon, but at this time it has not been received yet. He said once the money is in, they can fully move forward with approving the funding requests. Those requests came from:
- S & K Ventures, a digital signage company, who requested $35K for a new, bigger sign
- Jennifer James Auction, who requested $40K to help move her company forward
153 Trucking, LLC also requested funding, but it was well over the funding the Board can provide. Board members said they will recommend they go through South Central Illinois Regional Planning (SCIRP), who can give out bigger loan amounts and work with the company directly.
