Altamont, IL -(Effingham Radio)- The Altamont Board of Education will have a meeting on December 14th at 7pm at District #10 Unit Office, 7 South Ewing Street, Altamont.
Due to the rise in COVID–19 cases, Altamont District #10 will hold the December regular meeting via remotely. Please find the special instruction below:
Board members may attend the meeting either in person or by electronic/phone communication. Mr. Cornett will ensure computers equipped with video capability are assigned to each board member (if necessary). Please stop by the unit office anytime to get your computer should you wish to participate from home (you may certainly use your own device).
Board members will be sent a zoom link for the public meeting. Board members will be sent a google meet for the closed session. Please inform the unit office in advance of the meeting by phone at: 618–483–6195 if you are a member of the public who wishes to attend. You may “live stream” the board meeting from home by following the instructions on the district‘s website. On the website, click the public information tab titled 12/14/20 Remote School Board Meeting. Follow the instructions to live stream the board meeting.
The District understands the hesitancy of many to attend a public meeting in the present environment. Individuals will also have the ability to participate during the public comment portion of the meeting by emailing your public comments to smayerho@altamontschools.org by 3:00 p.m. on Monday, December 14, 2020. An administrator in attendance at the meeting will read your comments to the board members attending in person or electronically.
