Effingham County Jail – December 6, 2016:

  1. 33-year-old Andrew M. Baker, of Effingham, was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department on an 18 month sentence with the Department of Corrections for Domestic Battery.
  2. 27-year-old Jacob R. Musgrave, of Effingham, was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department and charged with Pedestrian Under the Influence.

CRASHES

 December 6, 2016:

  1. At 8:07 A.M. at the intersection of Fayette and Henrietta a bus driven by La Verne N. Mefford, 82, Shobonier, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Brian J. Sandschafer, 39, Shumway, causing Sandschafer’s vehicle to rear-end a bus driven by Nancy B. Moeller, 57, Effingham.  Sandschafer sustained injuries but refused treatment.  Neither bus was carrying any additional passengers at the time of the incident.  No citations.
  2. At 6:28 P.M. at the intersection of Temple and Merchant a vehicle driven by Michele L. Neal, 51, Effingham, collided with a vehicle driven by Kristina S. Donovan, 46, Windsor.  No injuries.  Neal was ticketed for Disobeying a Traffic Control Device.
