BRIEF SYNOPSIS:
- ISP Troop 9 Units responded to a Three Vehicle Fatal Traffic Crash at the above location and time. Unit 1 (2012 Yellow Chevrolet truck) was traveling south on N. 450th Street, approaching US 40. Unit 2 (2018 Red Chevrolet Equinox) was traveling east on US 40 approaching N. 450th Street. Unit 3 (2009 White Dodge Van) was traveling west at the same location. Unit 1, Unit 2, and Unit 3 crashed at the US 40 Intersection. Unit 1 driver (54-year-old – male from Brownstown) reported no injuries on scene. Unit 2 driver (34-year-old – male from Altamont) was transported to the hospital with injuries. Unit 3 driver (44-year-old Michelle Miller from Saint Elmo) was transported to a local hospital but did not survive. There were no other injuries reported at the scene. The roadway was closed during the crash investigation and reopened at approximately 6:40 pm. Unit 1 driver was cited for Disobeying a Stop Sign.
The crash investigation is active and no further information is available.
