Piatt County, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Illinois Department of Health is confirming another rabid bat specimen in Piatt County.
The DeWitt-Piatt Bi-County Health Department submitted the specimen that was collected outside a Monticello home. The bat was seized after possible human exposure at the home, according to health officials.
The IDPH says there has been no human case of rabies confirmed.
