Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Effingham County Cultural Center & Museum has an exhibit that displays a piece of the steel beams from the World Trade Center. This metal beam piece (pictured above) was one of many pieces that were delivered across the country to museums and other places to display them as a reminder of that tragic day.
The pictures above and below are all part of the display, which you can find at the museum.
Delaine Donaldson and Derek Warren, News Director for Cromwell Media, shared two different perspectives from that day as the events unfolded. With several decades difference in age, the same event can have many different ways it is remembered.

Thanks to Delaine Donaldson for sharing his story from that fateful day, and how it changed his perspective moving forward. We all experienced that 9/11 attacks differently, but we all come together now to remember the lives lost that day, and thank the first responders who saved lives. While the tragedy still hurts 25 years later, we as a country persevered, remembered, and live on in their memory.
