Lane M. Redfern, 25, of Effingham, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
Lane will be remembered for the love he had for his family and the special moments he shared with those closest to him. He especially cherished spending time with his wife, MacKenzie, and their children, Liam, Elias, Paeton, and Da’NaLeigh. His family was his greatest joy, and they were looking forward to welcoming their fifth child in the spring. Whether sharing time with his loved ones or enjoying a cup of coffee, Lane found happiness in life’s simple moments.
Lane is survived by his beloved wife and children; his father and stepmother, Mike and Kim Redfern; his brothers, Dylan Burnett, Dalton Winters, Preston Patient, Mason Redfern, and Aiden Burnett; and his grandparents, Libby and John Redfern.
He was welcomed into Heaven by his Grandpa Roberts and Grandpa Redfern, who preceded him in death.
No public services will be held at this time.
