EFFINGHAM COUNTY JAIL

- Illinois State Police arrested 45 year old Amanda S. Thomas of Logan, IL for DUI alcohol, improper passing of an emergency vehicle causing property damage to another, and improper lane usage. Amanda was given an NTA and was released.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 32 year old Norman K. McMahon of Berwyn, IL for an Effingham County FTA warrant for driving while license suspended. Norman was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
October 11, 2026
- Effingham City Police arrested 24 year old Detri A. Houston of Effingham for aggravated domestic battery and resisting/obstructing a police officer. Detri was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
October 12, 2026
- Effingham City Police arrested 32 year old Megan L. Parr of Effingham for endangering the life of a child (2 counts). Megan was given an NTA and was released.
