Effingham County, IL-(Effingham Radio)- A single vehicle crash occurred on Illinois Highway 33 at 1000th Street in Summit Township Sunday. The driver, 23-year-old Brayan A. Maldonado Sandoval, was traveling west when he turned south onto Lake Sara Road, took the turn too wide, and drove into a ditch. He was transported to Saint Anthony’s Memorial Hospital by Rural Med EMS with injuries. The driver was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
