Chicago, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Despite the Bears organization stating that their only focus is to build a stadium in Hammond, Indiana, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is singing another tune. He told reporters in Atlanta that he wants to make sure that Arlington Heights and Illinois have an opportunity, and Indiana as well, to put their best foot forward.
The Bears are studying two possible stadium locations n Hammond for a domed venue but have not officially ruled out building in Illinois. The organization owns 326 acres in Arlington Heights, where they have tried to push for property-tax breaks, but have not been successful.
Meanwhile, the Bears have not commented on Commissioner Goodell’s statement.
