Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The 377 Board met on Wednesday and discussed finances and their recent activity. The Board approved the minutes from their January 2026 and August 2025 meetings, since they did not have a quorum last time. They went over their financial report, and heard a progress report from CSS, which has expanded slightly from the year before. They have expanded not only how many people they are helping through their program, but also the businesses participating.
The Board then shared a story about Ino, who is pictured above.
“Ino is a 2026 graduate of Effingham High School. He began attending Community Support Systems (CSS) Community Day Services (CDS) program in August 2025 as part of transition services from Effingham Unit 40. After graduating in May, he was able to continue attending CDS with funding through Effingham County 377 funds.
Ino is a hard worker who is quickly mastering the jobs available at CDS. He appears to be on the fast track for a community job and will soon be working with a job coach to help him realize his dream of community employment.”
Ino says he “likes earning a paycheck and seeing his new friends every day.”
Ino entered CDS through transition services with Effingham Unit 40 and continued after graduation thanks to 377 funding. CDS helps participants build work skills, earn a paycheck, and move forward with community employment. This was made possible through the funding from Effingham County 377.
