Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Effingham County Chamber welcomes Senior Benefit Services as one of its newest members, expanding the Chamber’s network of businesses dedicated to serving the needs of individuals and families throughout the region.
Senior Benefit Services is an independent insurance agency specializing in Medicare education and enrollment assistance. Since 1975, the company has helped Medicare beneficiaries understand their options and confidently choose coverage that fits their healthcare needs and budget. As an independent agency, Senior Benefit Services works with multiple insurance carriers, allowing clients to compare Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage, and Prescription Drug plans while receiving personalized guidance throughout the process.
Local agent Emily Garrard is dedicated to helping individuals approaching Medicare eligibility, as well as current Medicare beneficiaries who want to review their existing coverage. Through one-on-one consultations, Emily helps clients better understand enrollment timelines, coverage options, and available benefits so they can make informed decisions with confidence. Consultations are provided at no cost.
After spending 10 years caring for patients as a nurse in the Effingham community, Emily saw firsthand how healthcare decisions and insurance coverage often go hand in hand. Her experience gave her a unique understanding of how medications, chronic health conditions, and provider preferences can affect Medicare decisions, leading her to continue serving others in a new way.
“Although my role is changing, my passion for helping others in the Effingham community isn’t,” said Garrard. “I chose to partner with Senior Benefit Services because we share the same mission: making Medicare easy and always putting the client first.”
“Understanding Medicare can be challenging, and having someone who can help explain the options is a valuable resource for our community,” said Katie Koester, President & CEO of the Effingham County Chamber. “We look forward to having Emily involved in the Chamber and connecting with members throughout Effingham County.”
