December 20, 2025
- Effingham City Police arrested 56 year old Timothy A. Phillips of Effingham for aggravated battery to a police officer. Timothy was given an NTA and was released.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19 year old Landon J. Clark of Newton for domestic battery, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of <5g of meth. Landon was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Illinois State Police arrested 50 year old Debra A. Koester of Effingham for DUI alcohol. Debra was given an NTA and was released.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45 year old Adam R. Simpson of Danville for DUI alcohol, DUI over .08, improper lane usage, and operating an uninsured vehicle. Adam was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27 year old Samantha L. Hager of Herrick for DUI alcohol and operating an uninsured vehicle. Samantha was taken to the Effingham County Jail.

- Effingham City Police arrested 50 year old Linda J. Mayo of Platte City, MO for a Montgomery County, IA FTA warrant for DUI, resisting a police officer, and criminal trespass. Linda was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham City Police arrested 28 year old Luis R. Diaz of Effingham for DUI alcohol, operating a vehicle with no valid license, no valid registration, and operating an uninsured vehicle. Luis was given an NTA and was released.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 37 year old Matthew D. Harris of Newton for a Clay County FTA warrant for damage to railroad property >$500. Matthew posted bond and was released.
- Effingham City Police arrested 42 year old Edicson E. Bolivar Ochoa of Stewardson for child endangerment (3 counts), criminal damage to property, and aggravated assault. Edicson was given an NTA and was released.
- Effingham City Police arrested 55 year old Eleutrio Gomez Segura of Effingham for aggravated domestic battery/strangle. Eleutrio was taken to the Effingham County Jail.

- Illinois State Police arrested 32 year old Omar A. Rocha of Garland, TX for DUI alcohol, speeding, and driving with no valid Driver’s License. Omar was given an NTA and was released.
