EFFINGHAM COUNTY JAIL

October 10, 2024

Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29 year old John N. VanPelt of Effingham for an Effingham County FTA warrant for theft $500-$10k and a Shelby County FTA warrant for possession of meth. John was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
Effingham City Police arrested 27 year old Mason W. Edinger of Montrose for theft. Mason was given an NTA and was released.
Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35 year old Billy J. Cripe of Altamont for forgery (sentenced to 3 years in IDOC). Billy was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
Effingham City Police arrested 29 year old Luke A. Rieman of Effingham for aggravated battery to a police officer, domestic battery, and resisting a police officer. Luke was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
