
Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- We have another chance for severe weather today and Sunday.
A line of strong storms is expected to move through today. These have the potential to be severe (level 2 risk), with damaging winds and large hail the main concerns. By late afternoon, they are expected to be in eastern Illinois.
We’re looking at storms moving into the local area by this evening. Be sure to be weather aware and take the necessary precautions. Sunday, however, brings an enhanced risk for strong severe storms.

Sunday is also a day to watch for severe weather, especially Sunday afternoon and early Sunday evening. Chances of severe storms are currently 30% across the entire area. All severe weather hazards are possible.
With it being a holiday weekend, outdoor activities are likely to be higher than normal. Keep an eye on the forecast over the next couple days for updates.
