EFFINGHAM COUNTY JAIL

- Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45 year old Richard A. Heil of Alton for an Effingham County FTA warrant for possession of a controlled substance. Richard was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham City Police arrested 42 year old Jason W. Jones of Effingham for 5 counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and aggravated criminal sexual abuse. Jason was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham City Police arrested 21 year old Josh A. Colwell Jr. of Effingham for reckless driving and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Josh was given a pretrial NTA and was released.
- Altamont Police arrested 30 year old Shane L. Mitchell of Farina for possession of <5g of meth and operating a motor vehicle with no valid Driver’s License. Shane was given a pretrial NTA and was released.
