Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Effingham Unit #40 School District wants to thank our staff, students, parents and community members for their patience and continued support as the District works through the problems with our computer network.
As of today, Monday, 2/27/2023, the assessment of the problem with the Effingham Unit 40 School District’s computer network is nearly completed. At this time there is no evidence and officials are still highly confident that no employee or student personal information has been compromised.
Work continues on the recovery of all essential network systems. Computer workstations for building administrators and office staff now have access to basic services. The phone systems are fully operational. Our security camera system is operational. Our technology staff is working with our teaching staff to implement two factor authentication for Google services so teachers can use personal devices to access their Google data. Progress continues towards a return to regular network operations.
Please be assured that District Officials are continuing to do everything they possibly can to return the District to regular operations as quickly as possible and the District will continue to provide updates to the public as new information becomes available.
