- Effingham Police arrested 50 year old Kelly J. Cochran of Effingham for criminal trespass to residence and a Shelby County FTA warrant for possession of <5g of meth. Kelly was given an NTA on the local charges and was transferred to Shelby County jail.

- At 6:13 PM 500 feet west of 115 E. Jefferson and S. 3rd, a vehicle driven by Luann Heuerman, 61, struck a vehicle driven by Robert J. Rhodes, 58, Effingham. No injuries and no citations.
