- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 48-year-old James E. Milligan of Cowden. Milligan was arrested on a failure to appear in Shelby County for possession of meth. Milligan posted the $825 bail and was released.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 39-year-old April D. Jones of Effingham. Jones was arrested on a failure to appear warrant for improper lane usage and a failure to appear on driving with a suspended license. Jones posted $275 and $575 bail and was released.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 19-year-old Zain C.S. Miller of St. Elmo. Miller was arrested on charges of possession of meth and cannabis with the intent to deliver 10-30 grams. Miller was given a notice to appear and released
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 33-year-old Roy D. Bartels Jr. of Stewardson. Bartels Jr. was arrested on a failure to appear warrant in Effingham County for possession of a controlled substance. Bartels Jr. posted $575 bail and was released.

- At 9:41 A.M. west of the intersection of Fayette and Maple a vehicle driven by Alyssa A. Pruemer, 37, Shumway, struck a vehicle driven by Jennifer L. Cross, 32, Effingham. Cross sustained injuries but declined treatment. No citations.
- At 1:39 P.M. at 881 W. Fayette a vehicle driven by Robert R. Priddy, 75, DeSoto, sideswiped a vehicle driven by Harley E. Brandt, 23, Effingham. No injuries and no citations.
July 21, 2021
- At 6:55 A.M. west of the intersection of Evergreen and 4th a vehicle driven by Gregory A. Uebinger, 39, Teutopolis, struck a deer. No injuries and no citations.
- At 2:56 P.M. at the intersection of Evergreen and Keller a vehicle driven by John F. Weiffenbach, 69, Effingham, collided with a vehicle driven by Chelsey L. Koester, 28, Effingham. No injuries and no citations.
