- Effingham Police arrested 22 year old Tonda M. Griffith of Effingham for domestic battery. Tonda was taken to the Effingham County jail.
April 20, 2021
- Illinois State Police arrested 53 year old Scott D. Benehoff of Machesney Park, IL for DUI/alcohol, resisting a police officer, illegal transportation of alcohol, pedestrian under influence, and no driver’s license. Scott was given an NTA and was released.
- Effingham Police arrested 43 year old James W. Bowlin of Altamont for violation of perole, criminal damage to property, residential burglary, theft under $500. James was taken to the Effingham County jail.
- Effingham Police arrested 30 year old Jesse W. Garza of Iola for possession of <5g of meth. Jesse was given an NTA and was released.
April 21, 2021
- Illinois State Police arrested 35 year old Elizabeth A. Jett of Decatur for possession of a stolen vehicle. Elizabeth was taken to the Effingham County jail.
- Illinois State Police arrested 35 year old Lael D. C. Zeigler of Litchfield for attempt to possess/sell stolen vehicle, driving while license suspended, obstruct ID, McClean County FTA warrant for residential burglary, 2 counts of burglary of aid/abet/sell stolen vehicle, theft decep intent <$500, use of forged credit/debit card, unlawful possession of credit/debit card. Lael was taken to the Effingham County jail.
- Effingham Police arrested 43 year old Jesse J. Boggs of Effingham for Beltrami County, MN FTA warrant for dangerous drugs – 5th degree – large amount of cannabis. Jesse was taken to the Effingham County jail.
- Effingham Police arrested 38 year old Tricia K. Eby of Potomac, IL for DUI/alcohol, illegal transportation of alc ohol/driver, improper lane usage, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Tricia was given an NTA and was released.

- At 2:02 P.M. at the intersection of Banker and Wabash a vehicle driven by Clayton T. Florida, 19, Effingham, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Nancy A. Garcia, 59, Dieterich. No injuries. Florida was ticketed for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.

- At 9:04 A.M. at the intersection of Keller and Evergreen a vehicle driven by Joyce A. Heuerman, 78, Effingham, struck a semi driven by Robert A. Retzleff, 65, Ft. Atkinson, WI. No injuries and no citations.
