- At 5:11 P.M. at the intersection of 3rd and the I57 NB/I70 EB exit ramp a vehicle driven by Nicholas H. Phillips, 26, Effingham, pulled into the path of and was struck by a vehicle driven by James E. Willey, 59, Effingham. Phillips sustained injuries but refused treatment. No citations.

- At 5:15 P.M. at the intersection of Henrietta and Fayette a vehicle driven by Mary L. Lilley, 67, Effingham, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Kara C. Budde, 37, Watson, causing Budde’s vehicle to rear-end a vehicle driven by Gavin G. Meers, 23, Iuka. No injuries and no citations.
