Effingham, IL -(Effingham Radio)- On January 21st at the monthly meeting of the Effingham County Board, Office Deputy Gena Blair was recognized for her 25 years of dedicated service to the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office.
Blair has been employed at the Sheriff’s Office since March 1, 1992 where she started as a part time Telecommunicator. On August 24, 1994 she began working as a full-time Telecommunicator. On January 1, 2017 she assumed the duties of Office Deputy.
Gena has worked under Sheriffs Art Kinkelaar, Ron Meek, John Monnet and Dave Mahon. She and her husband Travis reside in rural Effingham County.
“Gena is instrumental in making sure the Sheriff’s Office front office runs smoothly and she has won praise for how thorough and prompt she is in handling the Office’s invoices and statements.
