October 3, 2026

  • Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35 year old Christian J. Hicks of Indianapolis for an Effingham County FTA warrant for theft. Christian was taken to the Effingham County Jail.

October 4, 2026

  • Illinois State Police arrested 79 year old Philip L. Devore of Altamont for DUI alcohol and no front license plate. Philip was given an NTA and was released.
  • Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 53 year old Crystal R. Shamhart of Altamont for domestic battery and interfering with a domestic violence report. Crystal was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
  • Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 53 year old Terry W. Mclain of Decatur for an Effingham County FTA warrant for forgery. Terry was taken to the Effingham County Jail.

October 5, 2026

  • Teutopolis Police arrested 25 year old Kaleb A. Godert of Effingham for criminal damage to vehicle, burglary, probation violation, and violation of pre-trial release. Kaleb was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
  • Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45 year old Corinne J. Young of Effingham for a Coles County FTA warrant for retail theft. Corinne was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
  • Illinois State Police arrested 20 year old Kaleb M. Walton of Vandalia for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured vehicle, operating a vehicle while using a mobile communication device, and driving with expired license plates. Kaleb was given an NTA and was released.
  • Illinois State Police arrested 35 year old Kenra L. Christensen of Newton for driving while license suspended, no front or back license plate, and expired registration sticker. Kenra was given an NTA and was released.
  • Illinois State Police arrested 23 year old Rovel Rafael Hernandez of Johnson City, IL for no valid Driver’s License and speeding. Rovel was given an NTA and was released.
