Elderly Man Dies After Contracting West Nile In Shelby County

Shelby County, IL-(Effingham Radio)- An elderly man is dead after contracting West Nile Virus in Shelby County.

Health officials say the virus contributed to the death of the 86-year-old Shelby County resident. The Shelby County Health Department is warning people to take proactive measures against mosquito bites, which can spread West Nile.
