Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The 708 Board met on Wednesday afternoon and approved a few funding requests from local entities and non-profits.
708 Board members went over their remaining funding, which stands at $81k after bills and payouts. The 708 Board then approved funding for next year for:
- Light Counseling – $30k
- SAFE – $41.5k
- Heartland Human Services – $100k
- Griffin Therapeutic Solutions – $38.5k
- Calming Cortex – $1500
The Board denied One Hope United funding for the time being, stating the reason is that they are not seeing Effingham County clients at this time. Board members also approved more funding for the rest of this year for New Light Counseling in the amount of $9k.
