July 25, 2026
- Illinois State Police arrested 48 year old Lionel E. Carruthers of Ferguson, MO for unlawful possession of cannabis by driver, speeding, and a Jefferson County FTA warrant for driving while license suspended. Lionel posted bond and was released.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 32 year old Jeffrey L. Durbin of Beecher City for an Effingham County original warrant for meth delivery and possession of <5g of meth. Jeffrey was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham City Police arrested 44 year old Melissa D. Hagen of Fairfield for driving while license suspended, failure to yield to private drive, and operating an uninsured vehicle. Melissa was given an NTA and was released.
- Illinois State Police arrested 46 year old Jose G. Quinones Castro of Fort Worth, TX for DUI drugs, possession of <5g of meth, use of property in violation of the Methamphetamine Act, and driving with no valid license. Jose was given an NTA and was released.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25 year old Jaxon B. Kincaid of Effingham for an Effingham County mittimus to jail for driving on a revoked license, sentenced to 10 days, no DFD. Jaxon was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham City Police arrested 55 year old Matthew L. Payne of Tigard, OR for DUI alcohol, disobeying a traffic con trol device, and headlight/sidelight out. Matthew was given an NTA and was released.

- Effingham City Police arrested 65 year old David D. Sparling of Effingham for domestic battery. David was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 49 year old Andrea E. Bruels of Watson for domestic battery. Andrea was taken to the Effingham County Jail.

- Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29 year old Dakota M. Curry of Altamont for aid/abet/sell/possessing a stolen vfehicle, residential burglary, theft >$10k, possession of <5g of meth, and criminal trespass to residence. Dakota was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 20 year old Boston D. Cade of Effingham for driving while license suspended. Boston was given an NTA and was released.
