Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Effingham Sunrise Rotary Club invites the community to celebrate America’s 250th birthday at the USA 250: Let Freedom Ring Cookout on Friday, July 3, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on the courthouse lawn in downtown Effingham.
The event will feature food, live music by Lady Liberty, and patriotic fun for the entire family.
Food items available for purchase will include:
- Porkburgers – $5
- Hot Dogs – $4
- Chips – $1
- Soda & Water – $2
Attendees are encouraged to bring their family, friends, and lawn chairs as the community gathers to commemorate the nation’s historic 250th anniversary celebration.
Proceeds from the cookout will benefit the 2026 Turkey Drop for Veterans.
The event is presented by the Effingham Sunrise Rotary and sponsored by the City of Effingham and Effingham Convention & Visitors Bureau as Stars Sponsors; Effingham County, Sarah Bush Lincoln, and Kirby Foods as Stripes Sponsors; and Totten Law Office and Drs. Sehy and Jones Community Eye Care as Patriotic Sponsors. Patriotic sponsorships are still available for $150.
