- Effingham City Police arrested 42 year old Demtris A. Houston of Kankakee for domestic battery. Demitrus was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 44 year old John T. White of Effingham for an Effingham County FTA warrant for possession of <5g of meth and a Richland County FTA warrant for obstructing a police officer. John was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham City Police arrested 50 year old Christopher J. Oakes of Cowden for retail theft <$300. Christopher was given an NTA and was released.
- Effingham City Police arrested 51 year old Angela S. Oakes of Cowden for retail theft <$300. Angela was given an NTA and was released.
- Effingham City Police arrested 18 year old Jack L. Connours of Effingham for domestic battery. Jack was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
November 9, 2025
- Illinois State Police arrested 44 year old Steve T. Barton of Alton for DUI alcohol and possession of a controlled substance. Steve was given an NTA and was released.
November 10, 2025
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 43 year old Kyle E. Julius of Effingham for an Effingham County attachment for contempt of court. Kyle posted bond and was released.
- Effingham City Police arrested 36 year old Amber K. Mayhaus of Altamont for possession of <5g of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. Amber was given an NTA and was released.
