Charleston, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The following was released by the Charleston Police Department on their Facebook Page:
Offender: Nichole Miller Incident Date: June 4th, 2023
At approximately 9:53 AM, the Charleston Police Department responded to the 800 block of Olive Avenue for a fight in progress. Officers arrived on the scene and determined the parties were separated, and the altercation had just been verbal. Officers investigated what caused the altercation and determined Miller had gained access to a building owned by the victim. When Miller was inside the building, she moved several items and stole a vehicle that was parked inside the building. Miller did not have permission to enter the building or take the vehicle. It was later determined that Miller was driving the vehicle while under the influence of drugs and had a suspended driver’s license.
Miller was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and burglary. She was placed in the Coles County Jail, where her bond was later set at $7,500 (10%).
All subjects arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
