- Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31 year old John W. Ward of Newton for an Effingham County FTA warrant for retail theft/disposing of merchandise <$300. John was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham City Police arrested 44 year old Shawn J. Russell of Effingham for possession of <5g of meth and drug paraphernalia. Shawn was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
