- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 23 year old Ricky L. Boerckel of Charleston for an Effingham County mittimus to jail sentence for 6 years. Ricky was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham City Police arrested 36 year old Tucker J. OHara of Effingham for possession of <5g of meth, resisting a police officer, and an Effingham County FTA warrant for possession of <5g of meth. Tucker was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham City Police arrested 63 year old John R. Feldhake of Shumway for an Effingham County FTA warrant for possession of <5g of meth and a Fayette County FTA warrant for no harvest license for ginseng. John was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 44 year old Joshua A. Stout of Watson for an Effingham County mittimus to IDOC sentence for 4 years. Joshua was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham City Police arrested 52 year old Beth M. Bernahl of Effingham for DUI alcohol and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Beth was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 42 year old Ronnie J. Robison of Shumway for a Shelby County FTA warrant for aggravatedly fleeing police/21mph over the speed limit. Ronnie was transported to Shelby County Jail.

- At 12:17 A.M. at 1805 W. Fayette an unknown vehicle struck a parked semi owned by John Yager, Madison, WI. No injuries and no citations at this time.
November 1, 2022
- At 9:23 P.M. at the intersection of 3rd and Evergreen a vehicle driven by Beth M. Bernahl, 52, Effingham, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Dan A. Fearday, 65, Neoga. No injuries. Bernahl was ticketed for Driving Under the Influence and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.
