July 27, 2022
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 33 year old Matthew D. Gordon of Pana for an Effingham County FTA warrant for domestic battery. Matthew posted bond.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 22 year old Dravien M. Gray of Windsor for an Effingham County FTA warrant for retail theft <$300. Dravien was taken to the Effingham County jail.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 43 year old Freddie L. Payne of Noble for possession of a hypodermic needle and meth <5g. Freddie was taken to the Effingham County jail.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 55 year old Daniel F. Tidwell of Louisville for driving while license suspended. Daniel was given an NTA.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 32 year old DeJuan E. Hovis of St. Elmo for an Effingham County FTA warrant for driving on a suspended license. DeJuan posted bond.
- Effingham City Police arrested 20 year old Erin T. Hannagan of St. Elmo for a Fayette County FTA warrant for driving on a suspended license. Erin posted bond.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 28 year old Kyla R. Hubbard of Moweaqua for an Effingham County FTA warrant for possession of a controlled substance. Kyla was taken to the Effingham County jail.
CRASHES
July 19, 2022
- At 9:05 P.M. an unknown vehicle, while passing by Dan Hecht Chevrolet dealership at 2400 S. Banker, lost a tire or other debris off the vehicle. The debris struck and damaged three vehicles and a tent owned by Dan Hecht Chevrolet. No injuries and no citations at this time.
July 25, 2022
- At 3:15 P.M. at the intersection of Charlotte and Oakcrest a vehicle driven by Maleia S. Croy, 27, Effingham, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Karen S. Norris, 69, Effingham. Norris sustained injuries and was transported by private vehicle to HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital for treatment.

- At 6:16 P.M. at 503 N. Maple an unknown vehicle struck a parked vehicle owned by Roch and Janice Westendorf, Dieterich. No injuries and no citations at this time.
