- Effingham Police arrested 37 year old Erika N. Standley of Shelbyville for burglary. Erika was taken to the Effingham County jail.
- Altamont Police arrested 42 year old Harry E. Martin of St. Elmo for violation of an order of protection. Harry was taken to the Effingham County jail.
- Effingham Police arrested 42 year old Jessica D. Reed of Effingham for a Washington County FTA warrant for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia. Jessica was taken to the Effingham County jail.
- Illinois State Police arrested 20 year old Jaret M. Alwardt of Effingham for driving while license suspended and a Coles County FTA warrant for battery. Jaret was taken to the Effingham County jail.
- Effingham Police arrested 32 year old Eric B. Walters of Neoga for disorderly conduct. Eric posted $250 and was released.
CRASHES
May 23, 2022
- At 6:53 P.M. at the intersection of 4th and Fayette a semi driven by Charlton Carrender, 54, Reno, NV, struck an Illinois Department of Transportation traffic signal pole, causing the traffic signal to fall onto Carrender’s trailer. A semi driven by Rodney D. Henderson, 48, Columbus, IN, failed to see the traffic signal extending from Carrender’s trailer and struck the traffic signal. No injuries and no citations.
