- Effingham Police arrested 40 year old Shane M. Hall of Effingham for criminal damage to property >$500. Shane was taken to the Effingham County jail.
- Effingham Police arrested 31 year old Lucas C. McDaniel of Edgewood for an Effingham County FTA warrant for domestic battery/physical contact. Lucas was taken to the Effingham County jail.
- Effingham Police arrested 32 year old Dylan C. McDaniel of Edgewood for an Effingham County FTA warrant for domestic battery/physical contact. Dylan was taken to the Effingham County jail.
- Effingham Police arrested 47 year old Danette M. Frey of Effingham for an Effingham County FTA warrant for criminal trespass to land. Danette was given an NTA and was released.
- Effingham Police arrested 19 year old Kayden Z. Anderson of Effingham for possession of cannabis with intent to deliver 30g-499g, improper display of registration, operating an uninsured vehicle, and no valid Driver’s License. Kayden was taken to the Effingham County jail.
- Effingham Police arrested 40 year old Cody A. Jones of Edgewood for an Effingham County FTP warrant for failure to report address/employment change, and a Fayette County FTA warrant for failure to register as a sex offender. Cody was taken to the Effingham County jail.
- Effingham Police arrested 29 year old Savannah L. Ellis of Effingham for a Richland County FTA warrant for possession of <5g of meth. Savannah was taken to the Effingham County jail.
- Effingham Police arrested 33 year old Jessie M. Ring of Westfield, IL for possession of 5-15g of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, armed violence, delivery/possession of meth with intent to deliver, and unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition. Jessie was taken to the Effingham County jail.
- Effingham Police arrested 20 year old Kaylee D. Rossen of Effingham for battery. Kaylee posted $100 and was released.
- Effingham Police arrested 28 year old Andrew J. Dahlsad of Urbana for an Effingham County FTA warrant for aggravated battery to a police officer. Andrew was taken to the Effingham County jail.
CRASHES
May 17, 2022
- At 4:41 P.M. at the intersection of 4th and Eiche a vehicle driven by Michael L. Kollman, 45, Neoga, drove into the path of and was struck by a vehicle driven by Adam C. Butts, 38, Effingham. The force of the impact caused Kollman’s vehicle to overturn and two riding lawn mowers which wer unsecured on a trailer which Kollman’s vehicle was towing were thrown into a yard owned by Donna Jones, Effingham, resulting in damage to the yard. The trailer also struck and damaged a stop sign owned by the City of Effingham. Butts sustained injuries but refused treatment. Kollman was ticketed for Disobeying Traffic Control Device.

- At 10:40 A.M. at 210 N. Banker a vehicle driven by Archie D. Landreth, 83, Effingham, struck a parked vehicle owned by Steen Voyles, Mode. No injuries and no citations.
May 23, 2022
- At 8:13 P.M. at the intersection of Fayette and Willow a vehicle driven by Gene E. Bridges, 85, Effingham, struck a vehicle driven by Douglas L. Slater, 40, Effingham. Bridges’ vehicle continued to travel across the roadway, over two curbs and left the roadway before coming to rest in a parking lot. No injuries. Bridges was ticketed for Failure to Yield.
