Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Effingham Unit #40 Board of Education held a meeting today at 6pm.
The meeting began with the financial report and the consent agenda being approved. Also approved was the District’s Annual Membership Renewal with the IHSA and IESA.
There was then lots of discussion about how to cut costs down for teachers’ out-of-pocket expenses. The Board talked about different uses for Title funds and opening up an extra bidding time for more supplies throughout the school year. This plan was approved by the Board.
Also discussed and approved at tonight’s meeting:
- Southside Renovation Project – Grunloh Construction Alternate Bid
- EJHS Patching and Repainting Project – approved to be done over the summer
- South Side Playground Replacement Project
- Employee Assistance Program
