- Effingham Police arrested 52 year old Lee A. Horath of Montrose for an Effingham County FTA warrant for driving while license revoked. Lee posted $425 and was released.
- Effingham Police arrested 50 year old Jonathan S. Ohlman of Effingham for domestic battery. Jonathan was taken to the Effingham County jail.
- Effingham Police arrested 24 year old Nicholas R. Griffith of Effingham for criminal trespassing. Nicholas posted $150 and was released.

- At 3:00 P.M. at 1204 Ave of Mid America an unknown vehicle struck a parked vehicle owned by Brandon Honn, Effingham. No injuries and no citations at this time.
December 9, 2021
- At 12:36 A.M. at the intersection of Fayette and Fayette Frontage a semi driven by Anthony J. Smith-Alivas, 25, Las Vegas, NV, struck and damaged a traffic light standard co-owned by Illinois Department of Transportation and the City of Effingham. No injuries and no citations.
