Effingham County Jail
- Effingham Police Department arrested 43-year-old Zach K Gootee of Cloverdale, Indiana. Gootee was arrested on a Hendricks County, Indiana warrant for probation violation. Gootee is still in custody.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 25-year-old Rueben L Mooschekian of Effingham. Mooschekian was arrested on Coles County warrant for aggrivated fleeing/eluding and burglary. Mooschekian was released to Coles County.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 42-year-old Christopher M Mahnke of Shelbyville. Mahnke was arrested on a Effingham County warrant for aggravated battery with use of a deadly weapon. Mahnke is still in custody.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 28-year-old Benjamin R Holcombe of Rome, Georgia. Holcombe was arrested on charges of possession of a hypodermic needle, possession of a controlled substance, no drivers license and tail light violations. Holcombe was given a notice to appear and released.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 33-year-old Molly J Brummer of Sullivan. Brummer was arrested on a Richland County failure to appear warrant for possession of meth. Brummer is still in custody.
- Illinois State Police arresteed 22-year-old Caleb D Erickson of Effingham. Erickson was arrested on charges of improper lane usage and DUI/Alcohol. Erickson was released after being given a notice to appear.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 24-year-old Kelsey R Gwyn of Flora. Gwyn was arrested on charges of DUI/Alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol, improper lane usage, operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Gwyn was given a notice to appear and released.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 18-year-old Morgan R Thies of Teutopolis. Thies was arrested on charges of DUI/Alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol, possession of alcohol by a minor and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. Thies is still in custody.
- Effingham Police Department arrested 27-year-old Kennedy P Brummerstedt of Effingham. Brummerstedt was arrested on a Effingham County warrant for meth delivery, unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of meth. Brummerstedt is still in custody.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 35-year-old Whitney S Fitch of Edgewood. Fitch was arrested on an Effingham County failure to appear warrant for driving with a restricted license and DUI. Fitch posted $575 and released.
- Effingham Police Department arrested 32-year-old Kashannda R Hamilton of Willow Hill, Illinois. Hamilton was arrested on charges of domestic battery and is still in custody.
- Effingham Police Department arrested 53-year-old Patrick M Duncan of St. Louis, Missouri. Duncan was arrested on a Effingham County warrant for theft under $300. Duncan posted $575 and released.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 24-year-old Jacob H Wente of Teutopolis. Wente was arrested on charges of DUI and failure to reduce speed. Wente was given a notice to appear and released.

- At 11:14 A.M. at the intersection of Keller and Temple a vehicle driven by Kayla M. Tego, 24, Effingham, pulled into the path of and was struck by a vehicle driven by Joann B. Niemeyer, 67, Teutopolis. Tego was transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital for evaluation. Tego was ticketed for Failure to Yield and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
- At 11:32 A.M. at the intersection of Maple and Jefferson a vehicle driven by Nathaniel H. Coker, 19, Newton, collided with a vehicle driven by Henry P. Hoene, 71, Effingham. No injuries. Coker was ticketed for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
