Effingham County Jail

• Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 37-year-old David Ervin of Dieterich. Ervin was arrested on charges of possession of meth under five grams, driving with a revoked license, a Effingham County failure to appear warrant for possession of meth, a Jasper County failure to appear warrant for possession of cannabis by a driver and a Douglas County failure to appear warrant for driving with a revoked license. Ervin is still in custody.
• Effingham Police Department arrested 53-year-old Mark Fuesting of Effingham. Fuesting was arrested on charges of domestic battery and is still in custody.
• Effingham Police Department arrested 49-year-old Nicola Fuesting of Effingham. Nicola was arrested on charges of domestic battery and is still in custody.
• Effingham Police Department arrested 33-year-old Tiffany Crawford of Effingham. Crawford was arrested on a Effingham County failure to appear warrant for possession of meth. Crawford is still in custody.
• Illinois State Police arrested 40-year-old Scott Weiscope of Mattoon. Weiscope was arrested on charges of violation of order of protection. Weiscope is still in custody.
• Effingham Police Department arrested 50-year-old William Dockery of Effingham. Dockery was arrested on charges of resisting a police officer, interfering with a domestic violence report and two counts of domestic battery.

CRASHES 

August 16, 2021 

• At 2:00 A.M. at 914 N. Merchant a vehicle driven by Zachary A. Dye, 28,  Effingham, struck and damaged two mailboxes owned by FP7 Enterprises,  Effingham, and one mailbox owned by Belle Brandenburger, Effingham. No injuries. Dye was ticketed for Driving Under the Influence.
