Effingham County Jail
- Effingham Police Department arrested 29-year-old Zachary T. Hodgkin of Mason. Hodgkin was arrested on charges of possession of a weapon by a felon and possession of a controlled substance. Hodgkin is still in custody.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 32-year-old Zackary S. Britz of Edgewood. Britz was arrested on a Effingham County failure to appear warrant for driving with a revoked license, possession of meth under five grams and speeding.
- Altamont Police Department arrested 37-year old Everett E. Elledge of Altamont. Elledge was arrested on a failure to appear warrant for driving with revoked license. Elledge was given a notice to appear and released.

- At 3:15 A.M. at 1104 W. Fayette a vehicle driven by Reanon Adams-Law, 22, Effingham, struck and damaged a pole owned by Fas Mart, Effingham. No injuries and no citations.
August 17, 2021
- At 10:00 A.M. west of the intersection of Keller and Evergreen a vehicle driven by Kenneth V. Millman, 64, Sparta, NJ, sideswiped a semi driven by Juda F. Brown, 59, Brighton, TN. No injuries and no citations.
