EFFINGHAM COUNTY JAIL
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 34-year-old Sarah J. Anderson of Sullivan, IL. Anderson was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, driving with a suspended license, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Anderson was given a notice to appear and released.
- Illinois State Police arrested 24-year-old Michael S. Harshani of Pana, IL. Harshani was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and a Fayette County warrant for possession of cannabis in a penal institution. Harshani was given a notice to appear and transported to Fayette County.

- At 9:25 A.M. at the intersection of 3rd and Technology a vehicle driven by John W. Sarchet, 50, Teutopolis, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Mikayla D. Blankenship, 20, Teutopolis. No injuries and no citations.
June 8, 2021
- At 10:30 A.M. at 201 Walk an unknown vehicle struck a parked vehicle owned by Lloyd Alwardt, Altamont. No injuries and no citations at this time.
- At 6:34 P.M. north of the intersection of Outer Belt West and Ave of Mid America a vehicle driven by Elizabeth M. Kinnaman, 31, Effingham, attempted to avoid a deer, left the roadway and struck a light pole owned by the City of Effingham. No injuries and no citations.

- At 7:11 A.M. east of the intersection of Fayette and Fayette Frontage Road a vehicle driven by Jonathan W. Douglas, 39, Kinmundy, struck a semi driven by Gaganji Sandhu, 37, Brampton, Ontario, Canada. No injuries and no citations.
