
Effingham, IL -(Effingham Radio)- On March 11, 2021 at 11:30 am, the Effingham City Police Department received a call to check on the welfare of an individual who lived on Hillside Drive in Effingham, Illinois. Officers responded and found the door to the apartment unlocked. They entered the residence and found a female deceased on the floor of the living room. No other individuals were located in the apartment.
The Coroner’s office was notified and responded to the scene. The deceased female was identified as Brookes Goldsberry, age 39 of Effingham, Illinois.
The Illinois State Police Crime Scene Unit responded and processed the scene.
Initial investigation indicated there was no trauma or injury to Goldsberry. The coroner’s office transported Goldsberry to HSHS St. Anthony Hospital morgue. An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday, March 13th at 9am at St. Anthony Hospital to determine the cause of death.
