EFFINGHAM COUNTY JAIL
July 29, 2020
- Calvin J. Williams, 32, of Mattoon was arrested by the Effingham Police for Contempt of court for a failed drug test. Williams was taken to Effingham County Jail.
- Darrin D. Herron, 54, of Effingham was arrested by the Effingham Police for possession of ammo by a felon, possession of a controlled substance, meth precursor/ammonia traffic. Herron was taken to Effingham County Jail.
- Sirod M. Williams, 32, of St. Louis, MO, was arrested by the Effingham Police for Assault. Williams posted $150 bond.
- Robert L. Schuppert, 46, of Effingham was arrested by the Effingham Police for DUI, failure to yield to pedestrian, and illegal transportation of alcohol. Schuppert was given NTA.
- Adam C. Oglesby, 25, of Chicago was arrested by the Effingham Police for DUI, no valid Driver’s License, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, illegal transportation of alcohol, and improper lane usage. Schuppert was given NTA.

- At 6:31 A.M. at 1805 W. Fayette a semi driven by Richard G. Hurtle, 35, Osceola, IN, was making a right-hand turn and struck an unknown semi which was attempted to pass on the right side. No injuries and no citations at this time.
