- 34 year old, Brian E Toops, of Effingham was arrested by the Effingham Police Department for driving while under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol, and speeding. Toops posted $100 and a valid driver’s license.
- 28 year old, Justin M Unger, of Highland was arrested by the Illinois State Police for driving while license is suspended and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Unger was given a notice to appear.
- 22 year old, Evan G Boggs, of Effingham was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department for an expired driver’s license less than a year and speeding. Boggs posted $250.
- 30 year old, Danielle N Buck, of Mt Vernon was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department on a Wayne County failure to appear warrant for driving while under the influence of alcohol.
- 39 year old, Erin E Bertiaux, of Neoga was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department for contempt of court for a failed drug test.
- 27 year old, Caleb T Bushue, of Farina was arrested by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department on an Effingham County failure to appear warrant for resisting a peace officer.
- 24 year old, Dylan S Bower, of Mattoon was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department on an Effingham County failure to appear warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
- 23 year old, Tanner S Croy, of Pottsville was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department for driving while license is suspended. Croy posted $250.

- 20 year old, Austin T Chaney, of Brownstown was arrested by the Altamont Police Department for no valid driver’s license. Chaney posted $250.

- At 6:10 P.M. at the intersection of Ford and N. Raney a vehicle driven by John D. Funneman, 70, Effingham struck a vehicle driven by Carley J. Edwards, 26, Vandalia. No injuries and no citations.
July 18, 2019
- At 1:36 P.M. at 1204 Avenue of Mid America an unknown semi struck a vehicle driven by Stacy Koester, 43, Effingham. No injuries and no citations at this time.
July 29, 2019
- At 8:41 P.M. at 1204 Ave of Mid America a vehicle driven by Jessica A. Carey, 26, Effingham struck a concrete post. No injuries and no citations.
August 1, 2019
- At 10:54 A.M. at the intersection of N. Keller and W. Evergreen a vehicle driven by Rayne N. Williams rear-ended a vehicle driven by John R. Ferchow, 71, Effingham, causing Ferchow to rear-end a vehicle driven by David L. Winskill, 59, Sullivan. No injuries. Williams was ticketed for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.
