31 year old, Joanna M Lumpkins, of Indianapolis, Indiana was arrested by the Altamont Police Department for possession of a controlled substance. Lumpkins was given a notice to appear.
28 year old, Dereka Hawkins, of Indianapolis, Indiana was arrested by the Altamont Police Department for possession of a controlled substance, obstructing ID, speeding, and driving while license is suspended.
33 year old, Whitney S Fitch, of Edgewood was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department on a Richland County warrant for driving while license is revoked. Fitch posted $325.
40 year old, Debra J Payne, of Effingham was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department for contempt of court for a failed drug test. Payne posted $250.
45 year old, Tasha L Burton, of Chicago was arrested by the Illinois State Police for driving while license is suspended. Burton posted $150.
22 year old, Destiny C Holt, of Chicago was arrested by the Illinois State Police for illegal transportation of alcohol, possession of 10-30 grams of cannabis, and look-a-like controlled substance. Holt posted $150.

36 year old, Joseph E Brumberlow, of Beecher City was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department on an Effingham County failure to appear warrant for animal owner duties.

May 20, 2019

At 1:25 P.M. at the intersection of 1st and Fayette a vehicle driven by Heribertha Gonzalez Gomez, 34, Effingham, turned in front of and was struck by a vehicle driven by Anna M. Gardner, 49, Beecher City. No injuries. Gonzalez Gomez was ticketed for Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol and Failure to Yield.
