- 33 year old, Mather D. Matlock, of Mt. Carmel, IL, was arrested by Effingham County Sheriff’s Department on an Effingham County FTA warrant for Possession Of A Controlled Substance.

- At 12:21 P.M. at the intersection of Banker and Clark a vehicle driven by Ina F. Maroon, 81, Altamont, struck a vehicle driven by Christina D. Miller, 33, Effingham. Miller sustained injuries but refused treatment. Maroon was ticketed for Failure to Yield.
May 18, 2019
- At 1:10 P.M. north of the intersection of Banker and Hoffman a motor scooter operated by Richard L. Baker, 50, Effingham, lost control and struck the curb. Baker was ejected and sustained injuries; he was transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital for treatment. No citations.

- At 12:24 P.M. north of the intersection of Banker and Jaycee a vehicle driven by Abigail R. Will, 17, Effingham, struck a vehicle driven by Kristin N. Baker, 28, Watson. Baker sustained injuries but refused treatment. No citations.
