CRASHES
January 13, 2019
- At 1:35 A.M. at 1502 E. Fayette a vehicle driven by Austin T. See, 22, Iuka, left the roadway and struck and damaged an Ameren utility pole. No injuries. See was ticketed for Leaving the Scene of an Accident.
January 16, 2019
- At 7:15 P.M. east of the intersection of Banker and Fayette a vehicle driven by Lisa M. Starwalt, 42, Teutopolis, swerved to avoid an unknown vehicle which had turned into the path of Starwalt’s vehicle. As a result, Starwalt’s vehicle left the roadway and struck and damaged an IDOT pedestrian traffic signal. No injuries and no citations at this time.
January 22, 2019
- At 11:04 A.M. at 1204 Ave of Mid America a vehicle driven by Mary R. Switzer, 78, Farina, struck a concrete post owned by Walmart. No injuries and no citations.
- At 1:52 P.M. north of the intersection of Banker and Fayette a vehicle driven by Jillian M. Mosher, 25, Jewett, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Kyle M. Hammerschmidt, 30, Effingham. No injuries and no citations.
- At 11:25 P.M. at 2500 N. 3rd an unknown semi struck a parked semi owned by Penske Truck Leasing, Chicago. No injuries and no citations at this time.
January 23, 2019
- At 7:02 A.M. at the intersection of Fayette and Willow vehicles driven by Kyle E. Feldkamp, 26, Altamont, and Luke E. Baker, 20, Neoga, collided. No injuries and no citations.
January 25, 2019
- At 8:17 A.M. at the intersection of 3rd and Temple vehicles driven by Dean D. Swingler, 57, Newton, and Whitney N. Hess, 29, Effingham, collided. No injuries and no citations.
- At 8:59 P.M. at 1401 Thelma Keller a vehicle driven by Derek E. Dasenbrock, 34, Teutopolis, struck and damaged a drive-thru speaker owned by Arby’s. No injuries and no citations.
January 26, 2019
- At 1:20 A.M. at 707 N. Ealy a vehicle driven by Austin J. Webb, 24, Effingham, struck a parked vehicle owned by Seth Harris, Effingham. The impact caused Webb’s vehicle to veer across the road, leave the roadway, strike a ditch, cross back over the roadway and come to a rest. Webb sustained injuries but refused treatment. Webb was issued a citation for Leaving the Scene of an Accident.
